Day 1

Arrive in Kandy (approx. 3 hrs. -114km)

Kandy is well-known for its culture and beauty, and it is considered a sacred city by all Buddhists due to the presence of the Dalada Maligawa (temple of the sacred tooth relic) in the center of the city. Not far from Kandy, the Royal Botanic Gardens, also known as Peradeniya Botanical Garden, offers a great collection of orchids, and other flora and fauna including medicinal plants and palm trees. King Wickramabahu III established the Royal Botanic Garden in 1371. The botaniphiles have the chance to study the plant diversity of the Royal Botanic Gardens at the National Herbarium.

Go on a jeep safari to Yala National Park to witness mesmerizing beauties of Sri Lanka. The safari experience at Yala is truly one of its kind, where you get to experience wildlife species on a personal yet thrilling level. Day 5

Yala - Galle - Kosgoda - Bentota (approx. 5 hrs. - 237km)

Visit the Galle Fort, a fortified colonial town that dates back to the 16th century, and is today a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its cobblestone streets filled with boutiques and cafes. Visit iconic architectural landmarks such as the Dutch Reformed Church and the 1882 clock tower. Take in magnificent views of the harbor at sunset from Sri Lanka's oldest lighthouse. Kosgoda is the only place in Sri Lanka where all five species of sea turtles nest year round. The sea turtles you can spot here are the green turtle, olive ridley, hawksbill, loggerhead and leatherback. If you are lucky, you may be able to witness a miraculous hatching and help to release them back to the ocean. This experience can be enjoyed by those of all ages. Remember to take your camera with you. While you will have a close encounter with these sea turtles, please ensure you do not touch them.

Don’t forget to try the seafood, which is a must-try and resembles the essence of traditional seafood popular on this island.

Child Policy
  • Children between two and six years are given a discount of 60 percent of the per-person adult rate on transfers, excursions, and package tours provided they share a room with two adults.
  • Children between seven to twelve years old are given a 50 percent discount on the per-person adult rate on transfers, excursions, and package tours provided they share a room with two adults.
  • A maximum of two children per party are granted the above-mentioned discounts. Children who require their own rooms are charged as adults.
